Item Details

Description

This diving knife has C.E.HEINKE & CO.LTD.LONDON stamped on the brass handle. This knife was purchased from the grandson of Maurice Talbot. Maurice Talbot was a commercial diver and dive school instructor at Highline college as well as teaching at the Divers Institute in Seattle. This knife was part of his collection, and he did the engraving on the handle and the sheath. The engraving on the sheath is of the underwater god Poseidon, while the handle has a custom decorative engraving. The knife weighs 3 pounds and two ounces. The blade of the knife has some wear, but this diving knife is certainly one of a kind. It measures 12.625 inches long overall, and the blade is 6.25 inches.
