In the original box, marked "1964 Independent Television Corp.". Marked "Set No. 3300". Box has $5.99 price sticker on upper-left corner and shows characters on the front of the box, including Steve Zodiac, Venus, Professor Matic, Commander Zero, Zoony and Robert Robot. This was made in the 1960's and based on the children's science fiction-themed television show, which aired Saturday mornings on NBC from 1963 to 1965. They used a form of puppetry developed by Jerry and Sylvia Anderson. This is one of the larger play sets made by MPC and features the XL5 Spaceship, a cardboard space city, a launch track and several other accessories, along with six character figures from the series. This particular example is complete and in excellent condition, as are the box and instructions. Set also comes with a Little Golden Book Supercar and Fireball XL5 Golden Book.
