A French transitional, marquetry inlaid and rosewood commode, A French transitional, marquetry inlaid and rosewood commode, c.1900, of demilune outline with satinwood inlaid panels to the top and front, applied gilt mounts, on swept legs and sabot feet, 80cm wide 42cm deep 86cm high Provenance: The residual contents of Bixley Manor by instruction of the executors of Sir Timothy Colman KG. Condition Report: Faded with some small veneer losses to the border of the top. Also losses to the applied gilt frieze moulding. One sabot is loose, but present.
