Benjamin's New Hudson River Steamboat Map 1846, Framed. Antique map of the Hudson River from Lake George to Staten Island, richly annotated with historical descriptions of port cities located along the river, laid out vertically along its North-South stretch. Originally advertised a pair of Hudson River steamboats, the Troy and the Empire, both of which were built in "Williamsburgh, Long Island" for the Troy Steam-Boat Company. Nicely framed under glass with white matte and a thin black border.
Dimensions are 34.75 in h x 16.75 in w x .75 in d. Condition is excellent, showing only discoloration to paper that is consistent with age. This example of this antique map appears to be in the rare condition of showing only one subtle crease in its center, from contemporary folding. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
