Antique Carved Wood & Leather Clad Birthing Chair. Sculptural tripod chair with leather clad seat, most likely European. Traditionally it is known as a birthing chair that midwifes would carry with them. Beautifully carved three-leaf clover design on side handles and back. Great little side chair with a fascinating history.
