Waltham and Hamilton respectively
The Waltham with three-part brass-bound case with a push button on the top lid, the centre section with engraved brass plaque, the lower section with inlaid brass escutcheon and number plaque below. The 2.5 inch silvered Roman dial signed and marked (N.W) 49 with subsidiary 0-8 day power reserve, Observatory style running seconds and blued steel spade hands. The striped engraved full plate movement with jewelled Swiss lever escapement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance with timing screws and integral winding key with a threaded, weighted, scratch numbered gimballed bowl. Ticking with a key and associated felt-lined Deck case.

The Hamilton Watch case with hand-setting instruction plaque on the lid, a slide button catch and a padded green felt interior. The 2.25 inch signed Arabic dial with power reserve indicator to 48 hours and subsidiary seconds dial at 6, with steel spade hands. The striped nickel movement with over coiled balance spring with jewelled Swiss lever escapement, compensated balance with timing screws, engraved on the back plate Hamilton Watch Co. Model 22-21 Jewels Adj. to temp & 6 Pos. Made in U.S.A. U.S. Navy-Bu. Ships-1942 and a serial number '2F14353' by the balance. Ticking with keyless winding.
