Provenance: This clock remained in Pierre de Boucherville's family from when it was new until 1937 by all accounts of documentation in the clock;The piece lived in Quebec until 1911 then in Montreal to 1937;Descended through the family to the current owner;From the collection of a Greenwich, CT lady

Michael Grayhurst 1765-1839) is a listed clockmaker and worked with James Harvey in business as gold/silversmiths, watchmakers and jewelers at 65, Strand from c. 1810. By 1834, they had grown to become Grayhurst, Harvey, Denton & Co. at 64, Strand and by 1840, they had a second shop at 128 Regent Street.
