Ca. 600-700 AD A beautiful gold cross pendant with expanding arms and ribbed suspension loop, inset pale green glass cloisons to the arms and centre. From lower and side arms short-chain dangles with amethyst beads are suspended. The item has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements.
