Description
Sunset Mountain Pottery was a contract art pottery shop for J. B. Cole's Pottery. And the shop was named 'The Treasure Chest' in Asheville, NC. The shop dated from 1929-35. The initial two glaze colors were orange (chrome red likely) and green. Later on, particularly in the last three years that was open, additional forms & glazes, such as this blue glaze pot, were available. Very desirable mark in NC Art Pottery collections. Stamped on bottom Sunset Mountain Pottery. Stands 10" tall. Fairly tall pot w/ the mark.
