Description

(2) Savoie glazed confit pots. These two confit pots are from the same area, on the border of the Savoie and the Jura. These two Savoie/Jura pots à confit were made in Nemiers, a known poterie-ville on the border of the two regions. These Conserve pots were made with unknown ingredients to create poteries in Ochre. The Savoie used butter and fats from dairy in lieu of confit. Dimensions: (Taller) H 8.5" x W 10.25" x D 8.25" Condition: Chips and glaze losses. Crazing. Hairlines to bottom of smaller. Surface wear.
