Chinese, Ming/Qing dynasty. One carved from a light grey nephrite jade as a crouching pixiu beast with head turned towards its tail, having slight russet inclusions and fine details carvedin low relief on body. The other of a darker grey colour with spotted black inclusions, carved as a dog crouching with the front legs crossed and head turned to the back.L. 6 cm and 7 cm (2 3/8 and 2 3/4 in.)
