A pair of Precolumbian stone pendants from Mexico. The first is an attractive Olmec jade face pendant, Mexico, c. 1,000 - 400 BC, with stylized features and deep green color. H: 1" (2.5 cm). The second is a nice Mixtec carved greenstone Jaguar head, Mexico, c. AD 1300 - 1450, the features naturalistically rendered with large eyes and an open mouth, perforation hole from side to side. Intact and a choice example! W: 19x16mm. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
