Mr. ONG KIAN AIK and his brother are one of Singapore's foremost Asian Art Works collectors.The ONG family was originally from Taiwan, and came to Singapore in the early years for doing grain import and export business. They are also known as the main bean supplier to many food industries in Singapore. Singapore is a city rich in artistic atmosphere, and it made ONG brothers fascinated with collecting Chinese antiques with their wealthy. They are having very close relationship with many modern Chinese calligraphers and painters; such as Mr. Cheng Shifa, Mr. Huang Zhou, Mr. Lu Yanshao and Mr. Zhao Shaoang, etc. Whenever they came to Singapore for holding their exhibitions, they have been always welcomed warmly by Mr. ONG and patronized by Mr. ONG & his brother. Started with collecting Chinese calligraphies and paintings, they are gradually gone deeper into the collection of Chinese antique porcelains and miscellaneous items.
