TIMOTHY WHIDBORNE (ENGLISH, B. 1927): A PAIR OF PORTRAITS OF A PRINCE AND PRINCESS
depicting Princess Ara and Prince Ali of Murshidabad, the Prince cast in bronze and raised on a polished black slate base, the Princess in plaster, patinated to resemble bronze, raised on a wooden plinth base, together with a book 'Timothy Whidborne' which illustrates both busts, and is signed by the artist, and a letter from the artist stating that he sculpted the two heads in London in 1968, and a black and white photograph of the sitters,
40cm high and 46cm high respectively
Timothy Whidborne is most famous for his painting of HM Queen Elizabeth as Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards, which depicts Her Majesty mounted on the famous grey Metropolitan Police horse, 'Doctor'.
