Part of the last notorious outlaw gang in the Old West. When he and his brothers Robert and Gratton attempted to rob the Condon Bank in Coffeville, Kansas on October 15, 1892, only Emmett would survive, although he had been shot 20 times. Maintaining his rehabilitation, Dalton married his childhood sweetheart and became an ardent champion of law and order in his popular writings and lectures. Signed book: When the Daltons Rode. NY: Doubleday, Doran & Company, 1931. Hardcover, 6 x 8.5. 313 pages. Signed in fountain pen “Sincerely yours, Emmett Dalton” on a front blank page.
