A draped marble female figure
Late Hellenistic-Roman, circa 1st B.C.-2nd Century A.D.
Standing with left knee slightly flexed, wearing a high-belted chiton, a himation held in the right hand and falling in folds from the crooked elbow of the left arm, 37cm high

Condition
The figure is intact as preserved. There is overall pitting, chipping, scratching and abrasions. Notable chips and abrasions include to both breasts; the drape above the left elbow; an abrasion to the right hand; and left knee; and a chip to the left foot which is partly missing. The left arm is pierced at the elbow. The surface has a darkish patina and there are a few spots of blue paint near the left foot. It is drilled on the underside for attachment to a base.
