A Hellenistic bronze satyr
Circa 1st-2nd Century A.D.
The energetic young satyr with pronounced musculature, wearing an animal skin loincloth and an ivy wreath in his hair, his right leg bent forward, his left leg stretched downwards and back, with both arms raised above his head to support an elaborate acanthus plant element resting on his back, with floral rotelles on the sides of the arched support, 11.1cm high
