Thence by descent in the family to the present owner
Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's masterwork, The Threepenny Opera debuted at the Theatre De Lys on Christopher Street (now the Lucille Lortel Theatre) in 1954. Marc Blitzstein's adaptation was critically acclaimed as an off-Broadway show and the production ran for over 2500 performances. In this work by Blatas one can see the following characters from left to right: Jenny, The Madame, Mack the Knife, Streetsinger, Mr. Peachum, Filch, and Mrs. Peachum. The lower panels depict members of the orchestra.
