A BRONZE IMITATION BIÊN HÒA 边和 STONEWARE VASE OF ARCHAISTIC SHAPE VIETNAM, BIÊN HÒA 边和 SCHOOL OF APPLIED ARTS, SECOND HALF OF 20TH CENTURY This vase rests on a spread foot, has a globular body and a waisted shoulder surmounted by a trumper collar. Its shoulder is applied with three ram shaped molded handles. Its shape has been done after Chinese archaic bronze models dating to the Shang period. Its base bears a mark ‘边和’, lit. ‘Biên Hòa’, as well as another mark, unidentified, that may be that of an artist. H: 34 cm Provenance: A private collection of Vietnamese Art, French Riviera, France. Note: Compare with an identical vase sold in these rooms 2021-11-23, lot 201 for €1,500.
