A LARGE PAIR OF CANTON PORCELAIN VASES OF PHOENIX-TAIL SHAPE, FENGWEIZUN CHINA, LATE QING DYNASTY, LATE 19TH CENTURY Resting on ring foot, with a waisted lower part of body surmounted by an elongated egg-shaped upper part of the body, with a waisted shoulder surmounted by a trumpet neck with a foliate rim. The shoulder and the neck with an applied decoration of squirrels and lizards. Richly adorned in famille rose enamels with geometrical patterns, flower scrolls as well as reserved medallions with flowers and butterflies. Offered at auction with two matching wooden stands.
