Very fine chest of two-over-three dovetailed drawers with reticulated solid brass hardware, featuring a slanted-drop down writing surface with interior storage, all resting on ogee bracket feet. Exterior appears to be mahogany; with oak and pine secondary woods. Circa Late 18th-Early 19th Century. Dimensions: (Folded) H 40.25" x W 36.25" x D 21.5" Condition: Evidence of old restoration including repairs to feet, replaced backboards and hardware, reinforcements, and refinishing; all well done. Missing keys, missing knob for one interior drawer. Rich patina with normal light surface wear throughout.
