Japanese Vintage Metal Bottle is decorated with motifs and designs borrowed from lacquer. The designs of fans are set against a dense background emulates the maki-e lacquer technique; metal powders are sprinkled over the wet ground. Leaf motifs on the fans recall other lacquer techniques, like raden, or inlaid mother of pearl.
