In the age of travelling with all your belongings, Louis Vuitton specialized trunks for a myriad of items. This trunk is modeled after a design made in 1927 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton for Ernest Hemingway, complete with shelves and drawers with straps to hold in books while traveling. Gaston-Louis Vuitton was a lover of literature and created these special trunks to hold the hard-back books popular of the times. The original Hemingway trunk was rediscovered in the basement of the Ritz in Paris, along with a posthumous Hemingway masterpiece.
