In overall good condition. The sheet is fully laid to a supporting watercolor board preventing the examination of the verso. The supporting watercolor board is inscribed in pencil "#835/ The River' verso. The sheet is toned with time, only visible at the extreme edges when removed from the frame. Light craquelure is present in some of the gouache elements, most heavily concentrated in the sky. A 1/4" loss and abrasion to the sheet is present at the extreme right edge. The frame is significantly bowed, though this does not appear to be affecting the piece itself. See Specialist's photos for details.
Frame: 25 1/2 x 29 x 1 3/4 in.
