PAIR OF GEORGIAN MAHOGANY CUTLERY / KNIFE BOXES, each having serpentine front with slanting hinged lid, concealing fitted interior, and five-point star inlaid design, applied silver plaque with monogramed initials (silver not tested). Retains an old surface with warm color. Late 18th/early 19th century. 14" HOA.
Provenance: From a Charlottesville, VA estate.

Condition

Very good overall condition, scattered very minor to minor losses to trim, and with areas of expected usage wear.
