PIEDMONT NORTH CAROLINA CHIPPENDALE WALNUT HIGH CHEST OF DRAWERS, (updated 6/23/22) dovetailed case, the cove-molded cornice above three-over-two-over-four graduated lip-molded drawers, flanked by solid ends, which terminate in cut-outs that extend to the floor, providing support for the applied tall cut-out bracket-foot base with exposed dovetails and spurred profile. Yellow pine secondary wood. Retains a fine early surface with rich color. Probably Chatham or Guilford Co., NC. Late 18th/early 19th century. 60" H, 41 1/2" W, 20 1/4" D.

Very good overall condition. Brasses likely replaced in original drillings. Some wear and minor losses to drawer lips, with a few minor pieced repairs. Repair to one spur.
