$5 National Bank Note. First NB, Norwich, CT. Ch. 458. Fr. 394a. PMG Very Fine 25. While chartered in June 1864, this is actually the second bank to use the First NB moniker in Norwich, as Charter 65 was liquidated in May of 1864. This First Charter Five is the first Five to appear, and it is a lovely problem-free note. Pen signatures of Lewis Hyde as Cashier and Lucius Carroll as President are clear and defined.
