Publisher's blue cloth, stamped in black on spine, pictorial applique on upper cover, color printed map endpapers, publisher's pictorial jacket, custom cloth slipcase. Rubbed, corners bumped, bottom spine end slightly frayed, jacket chipped at corners, small tears at head of spine panel, long tear approximately 1/3rd of the length of rear flap fold at crease from top, toning, light fading.

FIRST EDITION, first printing, with 6 titles listed in advertisement on verso of half-title, through The Patchwork Girl of Oz. 'A' binding, with double rules at head and foot of spine. Later jacket with no advertisements on the rear flap. Hanff & Greene, VIII.
