A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH DIAMOND AND BLACK ENAMEL HINGED BANGLE CIRCA 1890The hinged bangle with a removeable open flower head cluster of old mine cut diamonds, approximately 2.15 carats total, with black enamelled borders, to pierced scrolled shoulders with rose cut and old cut diamond accents, to a pierced hinged back, numbered 50008, the clasp stamped with French poinçonsSize/dimensions: cluster 2.5cm diameter, inner width 5.7cmGross weight: 33.6 gramsProvenance:Sale, Sotheby's, Fine Jewels, 19th March 1998, lot 27
Condition
The diamonds are all present and correct,bright and lively, the principal diamonds colour H-J, clarity varying, mostly SI+. The bangle section has had some adaptions, a section added in on one side of the pierced backs. Some bands to the backs to the bars. there is a small amount of lead solder under the applied diamond set shoulders
