American (1868-1952), two unframed photogravures from The North American Indian: 'Tewa Girls,' plate 434, and 'Loitering at the Spring,' plate 400; each printed by Suffolk Eng. Co. Boston, with title, date, copyright, plate number and publisher's credit along the bottom edge.
image sizes: the first: height 11 1/4in, width 15 1/4in; the second: height 11 1/2in, width 15 1/4in

Condition
Each with deckled edges and unframed, as stated.
'Tewa Girls:' with scattered spots of foxing, primarily in the upper third, and some toning to the edges of the paper. Handling creases/rippling to the paper around the edges. Two areas of abrasion/minor surface loss in the lower border, the larger about 1in x .75in. A light 11-in vertical curved crease in the center left; additional creases in the upper left and lower right corners.
'Loitering at the Spring:' with toning throughout the paper and scattered spots of foxing. Creasing along the upper edges; scattered additional handling creases throughout. Paper loss/hinge remnants from a previous framing verso.
'Tewa Girls:' with scattered spots of foxing, primarily in the upper third, and some toning to the edges of the paper. Handling creases/rippling to the paper around the edges.
