Group of Bronze Artifacts

Including:

Two torchères, one probably Etruscan.

A bowl

The tallest 21 x 8 1/4 in. diam.

The Etruscan torchère was sold Parke Bernet Galleries, February 25, 1971, Lot 211, as circa 2nd - 3rd B.C.

Property Formerly in the Collection of Doris Gottlieb Brickner and Dr. Manuel Gottlieb

Condition

The tallest torchère with a dish top has a detached foot with oxidation and puddy colored residue. Minor losses along the top rim of the stem with bruising to the dish top, with an associated bulbous stem. The Etruscan torchère possibly lacking a bird on the top rim, with an encrusted oxidized surface, and generally in good overall condition. Fine quality. The bowl with bruising, 2 1/4 in. loss on the body and a partially encrusted surface.
