插屏圓形，鎏金圈邊裝飾，屏心正面滿工掐絲琺瑯作松鹿圖。白色琺瑯釉為地，遠景青山遠黛，萬峰重重，白雲繚繞；中景流水潺潺，碧波蕩漾；近景古松參天，松針如傘，繁密青翠，茵茵草原上鹿群恣意遊走，或站或臥，姿態閒適，仿如仙境美景。空中掐絲乾隆朝大臣王杰隸書乾隆帝御製詩〈萬松山行館即事襍詠－松〉，詩錄於《清高宗御製詩文全集（五）》，御製詩三集，卷四十五，字體靈動飄逸，疏朗有致，並有「臣」、「王杰」二方印；另面飾松鶴圖，並掐絲御製詩〈萬松山行館即事襍詠－栢〉。下承木座，浮雕雲蝠紋，鏤雕纏枝花卉紋等，工藝精巧。整器造形新穎別致，構圖考究，掐絲細膩，線條優美，填以各色琺瑯彩，釉色飽滿，紋飾生動逼真，匠心獨運。尤以木座沉穩的紅棕色完美烘托出屏心掐絲琺瑯之鮮妍，彰顯皇家工藝之富麗璀璨。
「鹿」與「祿」同音，松樹、仙鶴象徵高夀，兩者結合寄託福祿長壽的美好寓意，是傳統吉祥題材。明代以前，屏風多趨於實用，主要作為遮蔽和臨時隔斷，而後隨著工藝不斷進步、裝飾愈加精美，衍生出各式插屏、座屏等室內裝飾器具，並逐漸脫離實用家具範疇，成為純粹的裝飾品和陳設品。綜觀本件插屏端莊典雅，以掐絲琺瑯工藝表現山水畫於屏面，反映出清代琺瑯工藝高超水準。
