357 元 白玉龍紋帶飾
L8cm
白玉質，質地緻密，清潤透亮。帶飾呈倭角長方形，正面邊框內浮雕雲龍紋。龍首正視，雙目深邃，長鬚飄逸，頭頂雙角，面容威嚴霸氣。四肢粗壯健碩，五爪強健，右前爪握寶珠，為元代龍紋典型特徵。龍身婉轉曲折，滿飾斜網格鱗紋，隱現在層層雲氣中，翻騰舞動，形象逼真。帶飾背面光素，挖長方形孔，四周留邊框，側面有長方形貫孔，以供穿繫革帶用。
玉帶飾是古人裝飾於腰帶上的玉飾件，既是裝飾品，又是實用器，更是身分地位的表徵。在唐代至明代較為流行，南朝梁國江淹著《江文通集》：「命幸得彩扇兮，出入玉帶與綺紳。」唐代亦規定僅三品以上官員方可用玉帶，顯示使用玉帶等級之高。
元朝官員的衣冠基本上承襲宋金制度，凡二品以上可繫玉帶，且保留草原民族特點，在服飾審美方面更加大器、華麗。如清宮殿藏畫本宋〈岳飛像〉，可見宋代所用玉帶飾和唐代相比已較大型，可想元代其形制更顯氣勢。而紋飾方面除動、植物紋外，又增加龍紋、獅紋、魚紋等，且將浮雕技藝發揮出神入化，使玉器工藝更加精湛，形成極具特色的草原文化與中原文化融合之藝術風格。北京故宮博物院庋藏元〈玉鏤雕龍形帶飾〉與本品皆以正面龍紋為飾，顯露典型元代風格。然與之相比，本件玉帶飾雕琢工藝更為細膩，刀法強勁，立體感極強，且整體形制規整威嚴，當屬帝王所用之珍罕玉雕佳品。
