印文：謙福堂
青白玉質，光潔細潤，瑩滑清透。呈橢圓形，印身光素，鏤雕螭龍鈕。龍圓眼方吻，頦下長鬚，腦後長鬃飄逸。身修長，扭曲環繞，四肢矯健著地，長尾纖細分岔。巧將玉質深色處琢為龍首，愈往身軀色彩愈趨淺淡，呈現漸層變化。龍身騰空彎繞，彷彿騰雲駕霧之姿，增添神秘威嚴氣象。印面刻陽文篆書「謙福堂」，左右兩旁飾以對稱捲尾螭龍紋。觀其印文，具漢印遺風，文與圖結合使印面富有動感。而印面雙龍捧篆字之布局格式與螭龍鈕相映，反應出清代透過科舉機制，考生通過殿試考核成為天子門生，具一脈相承之意。
玉印在燦若星辰的中國玉文化中，極富特色，更是格外珍貴的玉雕品種。早期印章多為銅質，以玉為印材在秦漢以前較少見，且用印制度極為嚴格，將侯最高僅能用金印，唯帝王可使用玉璽。印章不僅用於鑑別身分，更是彰顯個人特質的獨特象徵。本件橢圓印刀法精煉，龍形線條優美，雙龍捧字之形式為清代一大特色。從印文判斷或屬道光十五年（1835年）乙未科進士「謙福」之齋館印，其著有《桐花竹實之軒詩鈔》，而本品或為其堂號所精心設計之玉印佳品。
謙福，額爾德特氏，字吉雲、光庭，號小榆，蒙古鑲黃旗人，道光十四年甲午科舉人，十五年乙未科進士。後任戶部主事、詹事府左中允、翰林院侍講等職，著有《桐花竹實之軒詩鈔》。其出自名門，父曾任知府；祖父官至兵部尚書；堂叔官至兩江總督；堂哥官至直隸總督；侄子官至吏部尚書。
