Description
An Elizabeth II sterling silver four-piece tea and coffee service, Sheffield 1976 by Roberts and Belk
in the mid-Victorian style, comprising a teapot, a coffee pot, a milk jug and a twin handled sugar bowl. Each of baluster form upon four rocaille scroll feet. The pots with curved spouts with a grotesque mask base with rocaille junction, terminating in a bird’s head, opposite curved scroll handled with acanthus moulding, fitted with ceramic insulators. The hinged domed lids with shell and scroll rim surmounted by a detachable cast finials of convolvulus flowers upon a leafy calyx. The bodies with embossed decoration of flower head and foliage, each side with a vacant C scroll cartouche. Each fully and part-marked. (4)
