Edmund Chihowa (Zimbabwe, 20th - 21st century) verdite portrait bust sculpture, titled "Chief", depicting a somber, middle-aged, African man with facial hair and pierced ears adorned in rope and feather headdress and horn or shell necklace. Inscribed signature "Edmund Chihowa" to right side. Includes 1984 certificate of authenticity from the office of the Commissioner of Oaths in Johannesburg having erroneous spelling of artist name. 10 3/4" H x 4 3/4" W x approx. 6 1/4" D.
