Roy Ferdinand (New Orleans, 1959-2004) ink, pencil, and paint on paper painting depicting a saxophone player standing on a street corner near a tip box reading "If you Like what you hear drop in a Tip... If you can't spare it jus listen, What you drop, you get" Signed and dated Roy Ferdinand (copyright) 99, lower right. Housed and mounted in a contemporary wooden frame. Sight: 28" H x 22" W. Framed: 32" H x 26" W. Biographical note: Self-taught artist Roy Ferdinand was known for portraying the street life and characters from some of New Orleans toughest neighborhoods. He died of cancer at the age of 45.

Overall good condition with light creasing and wear to edges. Float mounted. Frame in overall good condition, some grime on interior of glass.
