Description
Ch 1444 is the First National Bank of Hoboken, New Jersey. This Hudson County bank almost ran the entire length of the National Currency from March 1865 to going out of business in 1935. This bank did not issue many Date Backs in 1902 as this note is the only known $10, with none listed in Track and Price and National Bank Note Database. Only several-$20s are known. Not a pristine note, and probably would grade VG with comments "Missing edge at top and Annotations" (Someone wrote 1902 on the Cashier signature line below the signature, quite possibly by the signer.) Certainly a needed note for collectors of New Jersey banks A Discovery note for the bank as the only known 1902 $10 Date Back.
Condition
Rough edge at top, one pinhole, "1902" written on cashier's line. VG details
