Description

An early 20th century etching on paper depicting preparation for a polo match. Signed and titled in ink. Note: Paul Desmond Brown was a self-trained artist, primarily working as an illustrator for magazines, periodicals, and advertising. He made illustrations for Brooks Brothers and Polo magazine. One of his illustrations was featured on the cover of Time Magazine in March 1929, and made significant contributions to books published by the Derrydale Press
