American, 17th Century.The rectangular molded edge top above a molded lower edge skirt, raised on turned tapering block splayed legs joined by a molded edge box stretcher. 18”h. 47.5”l. 13”d. Provenance: Wood analysis performed by Gordon Saltar at Winterthur, Delaware in 1974. Provenance, according to consignor records: from Weekes family who founded Oyster Bay, Long Island. Including receipt from Patricia Anne Reed, Newcastle, Maine, dated Oct 19, 1973.

Restorations, re-pegged through-out, great old dry finish.
