A Worcester cup and saucer, a spoon tray and a coffee cup, circa 1770-85
The chocolate cup and saucer of double ogee shape with entwined handle, decorated in Rich Japan style with the 'Jabberwocky' pattern, saucer 13.4cm diam the spoon tray also in 'Jabberwocky' pattern, 15.3cm long, the coffee cup with a version of the 'Joshua Reynolds' pattern between deep blue panels, 6.5cm high (4)

Condition

The cup and saucer: The blue enamel used on the cup has a more purple tone to that on the saucer, suggesting the two may have been married at a later date. The saucer with some very light scratches to the enamel and gilding at the edge of the footwell. Some kiln sand adhering to the footrim of the cup.

The spoon tray: In good condition with the enamels and gilding remaining well. With some kiln sand adhering to the glaze near the rim, of little significance.

The coffee cup: In good condition.
