Of upright oval form and set within a metal mount, delicately printed in purple with the arms of the Premier Grand Lodge, the reverse with Masonic symbols highlighted in yellow, 5.7cm high

There are some cracks which are visible in the catalogue illustration. Examination with a lens reveals that there are some minute loses to the enamel on the crack which travels in from the mount on the left. There are a few other minute losses to the enamel associated with the cracks but these are not significant. There is some damage/ loss to the enamel on the reverse limited to two areas. The first is immediately below the hanging loop and is about 2cm high and a maximum of about 1cm wide. For part of this area, the enamel has come away to reveal the copper underneath. The rest of the area still has a covering of enamel but the design is lost. To the left of this there is another area of slither chips/ losses to the enamel which is about 1.7cm high and about 0.4cm wide maximum. The copper is not visible but much of the design is lost. Otherwise, there are some fine cracks on this side with a few minute associated losses to the enamel. There are also some surface scratches.
