A fine pair of enamelled opaline vases, French or possibly English, mid-19th century
Of slender baluster form, the waisted necks with wavy rims, finely painted with elaborate sprays of flowers including roses and narcissi, large floral sprigs to the reverse within further smaller scattered sprigs, gilt borders to the rims and circular feet, 38cm high (2)

Traditionally opaline vases with decoration of this type are attributed to Jean-François Robert for Baccarat, but similar vases were made elsewhere including at Richardson's in Stourbridge.
