Federal "Patent Timepiece" Banjo Clock, early 19th Century, painted iron dial with Roman numerals, time only movement within drum case surmounted by bud finial, trapezoidal door of throat inset with gilt decorated verre Ã©glomisÃ© inscribed "PATENT" flanked by pierced brass C-scroll chutes, the pendulum door likewise inset with depiction of classical charioteer above tapered fluted bracket with spherules and acorn pendant
