Eighteenth century treatise by a French fencing master of the Academy of Toulouse. A reissue of the 1734 Dublin edition, with a cancel title which was printed by William Bowyer, whose 'records show 250 copies printed' (ESTC).
Provenance: Sir Edward Wilmot 1st Baronet (1693-1786, royal physician), armorial bookplate.
