A GEORGE III BRIGHT-CUT SILVER TEA CADDY IN THE NEO-CLASSICAL TASTE, London c.1788, maker's mark of Hester Bateman, of oval form, the hinged lid with urn finial, the body with bright-cut engraved floral swags and cartouches to each side, one containing a coat of arms, the other vacant (c.11.3 troy ozs). 14cm wide, 9.5cm deep, 14.5cm high.
