Two Pre-Columbian Pottery Vessels. Peru, Chimu Culture, consisting of a black ware stirrup bottle in the form of a crayfish atop an ovoid body, heavily restored, measuring 9.25” h x 4.75” w x 6.5” d, together with a bridged double-spouted black ware vessel with molded figural motifs, heavily restored, measuring 7.5” h x 7” w x 4.5” d. The Pre-Columbian era spans from the original settlement of North and South America in the Upper Paleolithic period through European colonization, which began with Christopher Columbus's voyage of 1492.
