Lovely printing of the best known work of the 3rd century B.C. Greek poet Aratus, translated in the 19th century by classical scholar John Lamb. Illustrated with 15th century cuts representing astrological and zodiacal figures. Designed by Victor and Caroline Hammer and Nancy Lair for the Anvil Press from 1961 to 1969, but not completed until 1975 by the members of the King Library Press at the University of Kentucky.

Slight bump at head of spine affecting jacket and front board only, light edgewear to jacket; near fine.
