A large carved and painted pine butcher's shop sign, A large carved and painted pine butcher's shop sign, 19th century, in the form of a longhorn bull, 160cm wide 22cm deep 97cm high Provenance: The Gordon Gridley Collection, London. Condition Report: Areas of loss to the raised hoof. Chips, rubbing and loss to paint. Possible overpainting, however this appears to have been done some time ago. General surface wear, scratches, dirt and patination commensurate with age.
