A pair of marble-topped cast iron console tables, A pair of marble-topped cast iron console tables, 19th century, French, possibly converted from a balcony front, each with a red marble top over colonnaded supports, cast with fruiting vines, ears of wheat and cherub's head roundels, flanking a central reeded column, 121cm wide 31cm deep 74cm high (2) Provenance: The Gordon Gridley Collection, London. Condition Report: Green patination and marble tops possibly later, cast both sides so decoration visible from the reverse, one end of one table misshapen and bent, areas of rust and pitting to the bases.
